Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)
The SAAM campaign focuses on the response, prevention and support against sexual violence on college campuses and institutions of higher education. The initiatives and programs are aimed towards both campus personnel and students with messages about bystander intervention, response, resources, ally-ship, consent, and healthy sexuality.
Every April we recognize Denim Day and engage in educational outreach across campus. Denim Day originated when a The Italian Supreme Court overturned a rape conviction by alleging that the survivor’s jeans were too tight to have been removed without her assistance. Denim Day reminds us to believe and stand with survivors.
