Brief Alcohol and Screening Intervention for College Students (BASICS) is a harm reduction intervention for college students to help students work toward reducing harmful effects of their alcohol and/or cannabis use.
BASICS is a 2 session program, delivered by a well trained BASICS practitioner, and uses an empathetic, non judgmental style to help meet students where they are at with their alcohol and/or cannabis use.
BASICS sessions are confidential. Students receive personalized feedback and process with the BASICS practitioner to identify strategies and goals make positive change.
